Ecomaison: joining from abroad through a French authorised representative
What Ecomaison covers, how a foreign company joins it, and what it costs.
Ecomaison is an eco-organisme approved in France for: Furniture, Toys, DIY and garden goods, Building products and materials. A company not established in France joins Ecomaison through an authorised representative established in France, mandatory since 10 July 2026 (article L. 541-10-9-1 of the Environmental Code). EPR France Rep files the membership in your name, obtains your IDU and files your declarations with Ecomaison. Standard costs €190 a year for one stream and Plus €990 a year for up to three streams in one mandate, with a median saving of €1,071 a year in eco-contributions across our published examples. Setup is €0. Eco-contributions are paid to Ecomaison at its published tariff, with 0% markup.Sources (3)

- Wall shelves, certified solid wood (3 kg), 500 a year: €1,515 at basic rates, €135 with Plus. Saving: €1,380.
- Padded armchairs (12 kg), 800 a year: €3,616 at basic rates, €2,584 with Plus. Saving: €1,032.

No. Ecomaison is an independent eco-organisme approved by the French State. We are an independent representative: we hold your membership with Ecomaison under our mandate.
